style, and preferences, and suggests that college atmosphere that would
be ideal for you. It also has a useful breakdown of the differences between
high school and college as well as personal checklists for what to evaluate
when you go to visit a college.

Find a school that suites you, apply online, online planning tools, compare
colleges, and help with the dreaded college essay. This site also lists
all deadlines and has a scholarship search component as well as help with
financial aid.

The U.S Department of Education website. Offers a good breakdown of the
steps needed to apply for college, gives a comphrensive overview of schools,
and lists articles and free publications about how to obtain financial aid.
www.commonapp.org:
The common application used by over 200 colleges and universities around
the country.

: The salliemae website is one of the best resources for finding and applying
for college on the web. The site has resources to help you asses your interests
and educational needs, select the colleges that best meet your needs, gives
you tips on the best way to apply as well as advice/resources on how to
pay for your education.

: Look for specific types of college, i.e. historically black colleges,
christian colleges, ect. Also a great resource for searching for a college
that's right for you.
