ARTIST STATEMENT

Since I started Art as an outlet to express my thoughts and ideas, my work has involved in my multimedia networks. In my work, I integrate all the tools that I have learned from the Computer Clubhouse and School environment and apply that to my Art. Multimedia tools such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and School teachings in Painting and Photography have enabled me to use my creativity in ways I didn't even imagine.

The piece entitled, HipHop: Love, Past, Present, Future, is a three piece set of my Graphic Deign Ability. It incorporates all the skills that I have learned and that I am still learning. The left piece, is HipHop figures that are both past and present figures. I wanted people to understand where HipHop originated from and where it is going. The middle piece, are images of my graffiti artwork and photography of breakdancing and various images that I feel express my feelings and idea of HipHop. The final installment, are images of my colleagues. The individuals within this installment are HipHop. Every individual is HipHop. It is about self-expression and I hope that this three piece installment makes people aware, that not only is HipHop consumed with music but it also incorporates culture, diversity, creativity, and originality.
