Coordinator Position in Meadow Heights Australia
Co-ordinator - 'Shop 24' Computer Clubhouse and Homework Support Program
This is a full time (Senior Tutor) position of 38 hours per week, though we are willing to look at a fractional full time appointment of no less than 20 hours per week.
The program provides support and resources to young people to pursue their interests and build upon their talents. In the Clubhouse youth can design their own music, art, newsletters, robots, science simulations, computer games and animation.
The closing date for applications is 23 Dec 09. Applicants should address the Key Selection Criteria in Item 5 of the Position Description.
Interviews will take place early January 2010.

YOUTH
INSTRUCTOR-TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM Full-Time (M-F 12-8pm) Summary:
Two major responsibilities are oversight of all aspects of the BGCB Technology Program (planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of quality and developmentally appropriate programming within the club’s technology program area for youth ages 6-18) and the clubhouse’s technology including the LAN, all hardware, software and peripherals. Additional responsibilities include the supervision of program staff, department budget, program support to other clubhouse program areas, and the training of BGCB staff and other stakeholders as appropriate.

Computer Clubhouse Program Coordinator
Design and implement business processes to support the administrative needs of the Intel
Computer Clubhouse Network, including managing information, processing updates, and
preparing documents to ensure the smooth operations of the Clubhouse Network. Support
administrative applications for the Computer Clubhouse Network as needed (e.g., participant
project database, community contacts, mailing lists, and budget expenditures). Develop
Computer Clubhouse alumni program for local chapters, codifying best practices from
Clubhouses around the world, and manage alumni relations globally, ensuring that Clubhouse
alumni are connected not only to their individual Clubhouse but to the greater Clubhouse
community. Provide administrative support to the Computer Clubhouse at the Museum of
Science, including establishing and maintaining records of participants (both Clubhouse
members and Clubhouse mentors), providing membership access, and keeping track of alumni
to ensure the Computer Clubhouse can measure and track participation and outcomes. Provide
support in coordinating Computer Clubhouse Network meetings, workshops, and events,
ensuring smooth and efficient logistics, effective meeting management, and appropriate followup.
Support and take responsibility for special projects as appropriate (e.g., Clubhouse Teen
Summit activities, Web site updates, Clubhouse photo gallery).
