The Computer Clubhouse wins the 1997 Peter F. Drucker Award for Nonprofit Innovation!The Award is given each year to an innovative program that has made a difference in the lives of the people it serves, and serves as a model that others can learn from. The Award was named for and inspired by Peter Drucker, a renowned authority and leader in management theory and practice. The Award is highly competitive; in 1997 there were over 200 applicants from around the country. The Award was presented at the Peter Drucker Foundation's annual Conference in Washington D.C. on October 27. The Foundation has produced a 10-minute video about the Computer Clubhouse and its members. This national Award is a huge honor for the Computer Clubhouse. Thanks to you, the Clubhouse members, for making it possible with your energy, talent, commitment, and creative spirit. Congratulations to everyone! |
