I was born in Bani, Santo Domingo. I came to the United States in January 2005. I like it here, but the hardest thing about living here is the cold and the language. English is very hard too. I first started using computers at the school I went to when I was living in Santo Domingo. I also have a computer at home. I used PowerPoint a lot until I came to the Computer Clubhouse. When I started going to Girls' Day at the Clubhouse, I learned how to use Painter software. My favorite work in the exhibit is called, "The Dance of the Butterfly". I like this piece because I always find a connection between butterflies and flowers. Most of the time my artwork is about these two things because they remind me of where I was born. Santo Domingo is a tropical city and there are always flowers and butterflies around. These pictures make me think about spring and warm weather.
